Magnificent Scenery
During summer months, the enclosed courtyard is the ideal place to hide away from the midday sun and the sparkling pool and reclining deck chairs promise instant relaxation and refreshment.The cozy private lounge is a relaxing retreat and the welcoming fireplace will keep the winter chill at bay.
GUESTS can enjoy a delectable buffet breakfast prepared by the Banhoek's own chef in the exquisite dining room, with its floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open up to meet the sunrise over the majestic mountains. Situated in the heart of the Cape's most prized vineyards, the part of the farms on which Le Pommier now stands once comprised an apple orchard from which the French name "Le Pommier", or "The Apple Tree", is derived.

Le Pommier is a small, intimate Cape lodge where each of the six suites has been individually appointed to the highest standards of charm, elegance and sophisticated comfort, with private verhandahs - in an exclusive and tranquil setting. Ideal for families.

We offer a comprehensive one-stop service, which include various exquisite venues for the wedding reception, a wedding chapel accommodating 140 GUESTS, superb catering, fine wines, five-star accommodation including honeymoon suites and transport for the bridal party. If the weather permits, we can host your wedding ceremony outside under the shadows of the majestic oak trees.
The little chapel on Zorgvliet can accommodate 140 people. This chapel on Zorgvliet with its beautiful stained glass windows, provides an ideal ambience for a wedding.
Our experienced wedding co-ordinator will assist in making your special day unforgettable and can advise on menu options, florists, photographers, decorators and other specialists. The Zorgvliet Group of Companies also offers several idyllic honeymoon options in the Winelands, in the heart of the African bush or along the Garden Route.
Conference:
Nestled against the slopes of the Simonsberg in the beautiful Banhoek Valley outside Stellenbosch, the historical Zorgvliet provides an idyllic setting for any kind of function. Removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, the Banhoek Room has undeniably the most magnificent view in the valley.
Banhoek Room
This function venue features stunning wooden floors with high ceilings and leads to a partially covered terrace with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.
The Banhoek Room provides the ideal setting for a dream wedding or a secluded conference spot. It also offers a perfect alternative for private parties, office functions, end-of-year bashes or product launches. The venue can accommodate between 80 and 120 people depending on the type of function and seating, while a further 140 can be accommodated on the terrace.
Oak Room
The Oak Room is another venue which features wooden floors and high ceilings. It has stunning views overlooking the Banhoek Valley, is ideal for private functions and can accommodate up to 150 people.
Le Pommier
Le Pommier Restaurant also offers conference and wedding facilities for groups up to 60 people.
Activities
GUESTS are invited to sample our selection of Award-winning wines that are produced on the Zorgvliet Wine Estate at the chic new tasting centre adjacent to the manor house. Visitors come from all over the world to sample the wines - under the flagship Zorgvliet, Silver Myn, Le Pommier and Spring Grove labels. Located in the old stables, the evocative venue is perfect setting to place and heritage of these wines.

- Public Holidays: 10h00 - 15h00
Cellar tours to the state-of-the-art cellar are conducted Monday to Friday at 10h30 and 14h30 and on Saturdays at 11h00.
A vine ranger will accompany GUESTS on guided vineyard walks from Monday to Friday at 16h30 and breakfast walks will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 07h00.
A travel desk is available at the wine tasting facility. Day trips, foreign exchange and car hire are also available.
Five Star Braai Experience up in the Winelands Mountains
We have added another uniquely South African phenomenon to our list of five-star offerings. You can indulge in one of the country's favourite pastimes, but in an absolutely unique setting - high up on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain. We will host specialized braais (barbeques) spoiling you with an array of delectable barbeque-styled food combined with spectacular views over the wine estate and the picturesque Banhoek Valley outside Stellenbosch.
You will be transported via winding pathways meandering through the vineyards up to the clearing for the Mountain Braai area in a custom-made tractor and trailer. This nostalgic trip promises to be a journey to the ultimate taste sensations in traditional South African braai-cuisine.

The historic Zorgvliet Wine Estate, located in the breathtakingly beautiful Banhoek Valley, has added yet another exquisite offering on the estate with the unveiling of the magnificent Zorgvliet Spa. Three highly trained and experienced therapists will provide various treatments such as facials, body massages, aromatherapy and reflexology.
GUESTS will be pampered with a variety of body and skin treatments such as wraps and scrubs as well as detoxifying, anti-stress and slimming treatments. The spa also offers manicures, pedicures and waxes as well as a steam room and sunbed for GUESTS who are getting in shape for Cape Town's beaches. Relax with a glass of Zorgvliet wine in the spa bath and soothe away your stress in this seductive sanctuary in the heart of the Banhoek Valley.
The Zorgvliet Spa will also specialise in pampering bridal groups with special packages, which include bridal make-up and hairstyling. Now brides can be swept away in a serene environment to emerge looking radiant for the special day.
In celebration of its location in the heart of the Cape winelands, the Zorgvliet Spa uses the authentic TheraVINE range, developed by Stellenbosch-based cosmetologist Lisa Smit.
